Richard Beckford born july 4th 1988 in Kingston Jamaica. It all started at a early age, growing up as a child in Naggo Head Portmore where he popular known as Pops Popstar always have a passion for music. Popstar attended Jago High school and had always grew with a musical experience by being apart of a youth church choir and also being apart of a group (duo).
It was year 2009 the birth of the lyrical genius who inspired by legends such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Garnett Silk, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel. Popstar started his musical journey in studio and developing his craft by writing on a day to day basis and recording.
It's 2013 when linking up with Unique themusickidd he got the real taste of a production where he recorded Sure#1 and performing on promotional shows including TVJ smile Jamaica rollout. Popstar is adamant about getting his share of the cake with a difference in lyrical content and style. He is also determine about being one of big name in the fraternity.
Popstar is aiming to make big achievements such as billboard hits, number ones and various awards.
